Ethics are fundamental because they are the foundation of the criminal justice system. Ethics has assisted people in society. They have helped people develop moral reasoning, define criminal activities, and come up with appropriate punishment. Ethics is very important because the criminal justice system is useful if it operates ethically. There are three areas where ethics plays an essential role in the criminal justice system.
