The information acts as a source of evidence for investigators, helps in the enforcement of law, background checks for employment and licensing, documentations for future reference like in the case of an appeal, and decision making by judges during sentencing (Cox, 2001). Critical data include the name, age, sex, origin, race, offense committed, past criminal records, the source of livelihood, education levels and the dates of all events (Cox, 2001). The paper will look into the profiles of a sampled number of prisoners in the Texas execution row.

Vasquez Pablo Lucio was a male of the Hispanic race from the county of Hindalgo. He was born on October 8th, 1977 and jailed at the age of twenty-one. The highest education level attended and completed was eighth grade. Lucio had never been subjected to any criminal conviction before and was executed after being found guilty of striking Andy Chapa, a young Hispanic male with a pipe and shovel on the head at a local party, killing him (Profiles of inmates in Texas Death row, 2016).
Holiday Raphael Deon, a young black man from the county of Grimes and a former cook, forklift operator and laborer was jailed on 21st June 2002 at the age of twenty-two.
