The ethical standards of police, prosecutors, attorneys, and judges guide the criminal justice agents' professional conduct and performance. There are different duties for the legal and law enforcement personnel, but the ethical standards highlight unethical and constituted misconduct. The ethical standards promote the values of fairness, independence, impartiality, responsibility, integrity, and confidence in the legal system, which are necessary to ensure that there are no wrongful conviction cases where possible. The personnel is expected to make ethical decisions and follow professional standards.
