Wars of Religion and the Clash of World Views Name of Student Institutional Affiliation Date of Submission Introduction Knowledge of the past is important if one is to understand the present and have a view of what is expected in the future. A person is molded by their past experiences and mistakes which guide them on decisions to make presently and in future. The past is key since the future is built on it and the choices made presently. Past events such as world war, rise of rock music, scientific research and economic crisis have greatly influenced the world we live in and the ripple effect of some events is still with us in the present and understanding of such events will allow the reference population make the right choices in the future to avert the bad mistakes of the past from happening again. There was a war from 1618 to 1648 lasting for three decades that was caused by religion wars between the Protestants and Catholics who were under the Holy Roman Empire. The war surrounded issues of ethnic competition, political weakness and disputes in religion. Unfortunately, this thirty years war had detrimental effects in the economy, politics and fall of Roman Empire, whose effects we still feel now CITATION Lyn08 \l 1033 (Hunt, 2008). Thirty Year War of 16th Century The thirty years war had a toll on economy, led to the fall of Holy Roman Empire and changed the political status of some nations. The crisis in the economy led to a recession and realigned the economy.
