Industrialization transformed the relationship of the U.S. with the rest of the world as much as it did domestic relationships. Discuss American involvement in Asia, Latin America, and Europe during the period from the end of the Civil War to the Great Depression of the 1930’s. To what extent were economic factors responsible for the increasing emphasis on foreign affairs? What other factors were involved? How did U.S. involvement with these three regions differ? Why?

The Great Depression was a period that marked the start of many changes across the United States. The period was marked by low wages, the fight against racial injustices, and social reforms. Since the economy was on its historic low, farmers sought reforms to increase their income and get subsidies on essential farming products. The government intervened and established a law to address their issues. On the other hand, women started their social reforms as they sought to be included in leadership positions and engage in politics.
