The swing also known as Les hazards heureux de l'escarpolette is an artwork by a French artist Jean –Honore Fragonard painted in the year ca. 1767. The materials used for the painting include oil paint and canvas. The image size is 81 x 64.2 cm. The painting is Fragonard’s famous artwork and one of the symbolic images found in the eighteenth century. In the painting Fragonard combines erotic ideas with a creative feeling of nature. The picture presents a young lady in a swing with two lovers hiding in the bushes with the idea that when the swing goes up they could get a better view of her skirt.
