I, Queen Elizabeth I, agree to follow Richard Hakluyt’s advice for colonizing North America. The western voyage is the best option for the United Kingdom since it will ensure we have access to the new world to provide us with various resources for social, political, and economic growth. As a country, we are expanding fast, and it would be imperative to consider other lands which will provide us with surplus commodities which we can also sell to the rest of Europe.
Spain’s expansionist efforts mean that we also have to follow suit; otherwise, we will be left behind. For instance, Spain has already benefited tremendously from its colonies in South America, the Caribbean, and Mexico, and now it is focusing on expanding towards the Americas.
