Reaction On “The Capture Of Jerusalem By Saladin” Name: Institution: Date: REACTION ON “THE CAPTURE OF JERUSALEM BY SALADIN” Capture of Jerusalem by Saladin is a real story that describes the experiences and occurrences of war that had taken place in the year one thousand one hundred and eighty seven (Spielvogel, 2011). This source book elaborates in depth about the processes and tactics that the King of Syria used in concurring against the Christian based Jerusalem and dominating with Islamic religion. The illustration of helplessness of the poor and selfish nature of the wealthy Christians is evident as they opted to save their own lives while the poor’s fate was doomed. Saladin had turned the city that was initially identified as holy, due to its Christianity roots into a battlefield. This showed determination to ruin the Holy City because of his persistence to concur it even after several setbacks.
