Qin Shihuangdi remains pivotal in the history of China. He is the founder of the Qin dynasty, becoming the king at the age of 13 years and the first emperor of China at the age of 38 years in 221 BC (VMFA, 2017). The emperor is greatly acknowledged following the construction of the legendary great wall in China and the mysterious city-sized mausoleum. He planned a secretive burial place since he was fanatical to continue ruling in his afterlife, with the same soldierly power and royal status he had on earth (VMFA, 2017). This paper discusses the mystery of the tomb, theories explaining the mystery and the reason that sounds more plausible.
