Mao Zedong was born on December 26, 1893, and died on September 9, 1976, in Beijing. He was a prominent Chinese statesman, soldier, and Marxist theorist who commanded his country’s communist rebellion. He was the leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Mao, a charismatic communist leader, rose to power in 1949. with his policy, a “Great Leap Forward,” he intended to advance China’s economy into the 20th century within two years. Mao Zedong had convened a reformist regime using classical Chinese prototypes of order, harmony, and filial piety.
