The belief that American mission was to ensure territorial expansion westward felt natural and right to many Americans particularly the white people. However, from 1830 all through the 19th century, the American government began moving westward demanding for more land, a massive of which, the Native Americans owned and instituted resistance (Walters, Beltran, Huh & Evans-Campbell, 2011, pp. 164). As a result, the government developed expansion strategies of attack in five policies that spelled doom for the Native Americans as it affected them causing devastating effects
First, it meant the loss of their land through the institution of the Removal Act of 1830 (Walters et al. 2011, pp.164). Due to the unwillingness to give up their land, the federal government instituted the act, giving the president power to make exchanges of land by powerfully removing all the Native American tribes from their inherited lands.
