No war had so much impact on the lives of people than the World War 2 (1939-1945). It is the same World War 2 period that prominent strides in science, and particularly military science and technology were achieved. There are a number of new inventions that occurred during the World War 2, some of them include rocketry, the buzz bomb which is currently known as “cruise missile” and “the military ballistic missile” and the computer technology. The primary motivation behind the development of these technologies was to produce a more competent and reliable means of getting access to the enemies during the war.
World War 2 marked a significant increase in the field of military science and its general funding. In the course of the war, the USA developed the radar which was mostly influential in the entire war period and still has impacts (Creswell, & Linderman, 2016). The same radar has been essential from the war time and the subsequent centuries of twentieth and the twenty first century. The radar technology has been used entirely in detecting the enemy ships and aircraft. (Beaver, & Adams, 2012). These technologies have been integrated in the century after the Second World War to mobilize the neighboring enemies on technology and political grounds, which incorporated Germany and the Soviet Union and the cold war that was experienced amongst these supper power nations
Since the World War 2 the scope of military funding for science and technology has triggered and influenced a larger historical literature analyzing the prospects of the war period. The computer science history and the computer engineering from the complex histories were shaped in the later decades of the pre-war and post-war science. The era has seen tremendous changes over the years and is still used up to today. The coordination and integration of the new inventions has been of significance importance as the computer technology that was initiated during the World War 2 is still used to coordinate the military technologies during wars (Black, & Bourke, 2012).
