2.After summarizing at least two (2) scholarly theories, identify one (1) of the theories as the most plausible and provide at least two (2) convincing reasons why the theory you have chosen is the best one to explain the mystery. This will involve some critical reasoning skills on your part.
3.Use at least two (2) sources plus the class textbook. (Three [3] sources total as the minimum) Note: Wikipedia and other similar Websites do not qualify as academic resources. You are highly encouraged to use the Resource Center tab at the top of your Blackboard page.

Exploring Ancient Mysteries
There have been many theories regarding how the pyramids at Giza were constructed. Most experts agree that they were constructed as burial monuments for pharaohs, but “how” these ancient people constructed monuments of such great size without modern machinery is a mystery which is still being debated.
The Egyptian pyramids at Giza are one of the wonders of the ancient world. Archaeologists, scientists, and theologians have fronted many theories to explain the construction and existence of the pyramids. Few documented materials exist to explain how the Pharaohs got to construct such massive structures without the modern technology we have today. Even with the neoteric technology, construction of such structures is still a herculean task albeit the milestones humans have accomplished in technology. Over the years, many theories of how to the pyramids were constructed have sprouted, citing circumstantial facts from the pyramids and ancient Egyptian culture. Many of the theories differ on how the stones were delivered to the site of construction and how they were eventually lifted to the top. In this article, some of the theories explaining the construction and existence of the pyramids at Giza are described in detail citing archeological evidence where appropriate.
One of the theories is centered on Egyptians being the architects, engineers, and builders of the pyramids. The theory suggests that the quarry stones were fetched across the Nile and delivered to the construction site. Workers in the quarries cut the rocks into specific shapes and size, and some weighed several tons. Using papyrus boats and little workforce, the boulders were delivered onto the other side of the river to the waiting oxen and workforce to carry them to the construction site CITATION Jam00 \l 1033 (Putnam, 2000). The stone would be placed on a sledge and pulled across the desert sand to the pyramid construction site. Upon reaching the construction site, ramps were used to hoist the stone to its rightful position with extreme precision CITATION Emm07 \l 1033 (Sweeney, 2007). The exact manner of how the ramps were built is still disputed. However, the laborers crafted simple tools that eased their effort of placing the huge rocks in their rightful positions. It required thousands of workers for over two decades to finish one pyramid for a single pharaoh.
Another theory explaining the construction of pyramids at Giza is attributed to aliens. Some people believe that the pyramids are...
