Early American Wars
The French and the Indian war was a conflict that pitted New France against colonies of British America. During the war that lasted from 1754 to 1763, the two warring sides had support from American Indian allies and military Units from home countries (Moogk, 2016). Since the French were outnumbered by the British, they depended on American Indian’s support. The war erupted after conflicts over who had control of the confluence of the Monongahela River and the Allegheny River.
