Introduction
One of the primary aspects that spurred the American economy remains in demand for farm household for manufacturers, an element that increased the need for industrialization. The growth of the American economy between 1790 and 1860 saw the Americans increase their production of goods and services for sale and not only for consumption. Through a larger exchange network that connected transport systems and the introduction of labor-saving innovations, communication and agriculture, America’s market revolution remained in a position to fulfill the revolutionary generation’s expectations that resulted in the development of new trends. Given this, it is important to understand that the industrialization of the United States economy between 1790 to 1860 raised conundrums, an aspect that this paper seeks to establish.
Changes in Communication
Invented by Fulton Robert in the early years of the 1800s, technological inventions in the area of communication played a significant role in not only enhancing the process of communication but in establishing robust and united relationships within the American nation. During this period, communication was to some extent restricted (Fishback, 2012). However, several significant interventions helped hasten the process of communication; an aspect that saw the advent of telegraphs that strategically revolution long distance communication. The primary function of communication during this period was driven towards expanding the westward and making the connection possible in the country, hence promoting the American economy regarding trade.

In the late eighteenth century, the American population was primarily centered on the use of the Atlantic coast through the use of water and river transportation which were considered as central to the nation’s economy. On the other hand, overland transportation was majorly done through the use of horses, an aspect that made it challenging to move large quantities of goods.
