What are some of the most striking features of America that you see?
The most striking features of America were the transformation processes. America struggled to search for identity at both personal level and national level. Revolutions transformed America as factories became the main cause of such transformation. Social control shifted from people and government to business that resulted to financial instability. This made it difficult to define America but the trade fair became one of the platforms of defining America. The trade fairs were a platform to convince people about the Americaness by showcasing unique innovations and ideals. Fairs were used to celebrate America spirit and sense of pride as they felt confidence because of their growing in the new world.
