A previously an active 10-year-old boy hardly played with toys and developed a social withdrawal character. On close observation, he developed a sudden irritability character accompanied by uncontrolled crying, shouting following no known triggers, and was more isolated than before. Despite all the observational symptoms, he had no psychotropic or traumatic medical history in his previous daily life. Consequently, he often administered and risperidone medication as well as visiting his private counsellor occasionally.
DSM-5 Children’s MDD Diagnostic Justification
