In this instance, the mother to the sick child has high doubts with regard to the prescription of the Registered nurse. The mother believes that her child has got cold and therefore she should be prescribed with antibiotics that can really help in protecting her other family members from getting infected.
In order for the parent to assist the pediatrician in collecting the required diagnoses from the child, she should start talking to her child concerning how she is feeling, record what the child says each day and have everything ready. This is more appropriate than being doubtful of the RN’s decision (Carter, 2013).
