• Who would be part of the user testing?
The Academic Hospital oncology program (Oncology South) and a more extensive national oncology health care system (Oncology North) will be part of the user testing.
• What are the elements to test?
o For efficient and functional record-keeping, the development of a universal system of electronic health records would allow access to patient information in every field of healthcare while still providing confidentiality and autonomy of patient information. (Sninsky, 2008) To have a standardized oncology solution for Universal Health, the Electronic Health Record (EHR) of both Oncology North and Oncology South should be aligned with the rest of the organization.  Even though Oncology North had been part of Universal Health for eight years and its Electronic Health Record (EHR) – Chrystal – was the EHR platform for Universal Health, it had some particular issues with the current program relating to its management in providing oncology services to its target population (Charles, 2008). 
• What are the steps used to perform acceptance testing, integration testing of new systems, and testing of system enhancements?
o The first step that was done by Chrystal was to conduct a gap analysis and prioritization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) functionality for oncology and Universal Health as well. As a result, they found that the structure built for oncology for Universal Health did not align with its suggested programs for oncology specialties in various areas within the HER (Charles, 2008).
o A focused team that involves a project manager, nursing informatics, Universal Health IT resources, Chrystal oncology alignment specialists, Chrystal oncology alignment specialists, and Chrystal oncology IT experts was established to tackle the issues that were found during Chrystal oncology gap analysis. In addition to the recommendations given globally associated Universal Health’s overall EHR structure, specific recommendations were included in the functionality of the oncology program within Chrystal. This includes matter concerning prior authorization in terms of financial responsibilities such as in insurance companies; and the systematic handling of the workflow of all oncology staff involving both providers/clinicians and oncology navigators, who did not have any oncology functionality within Chrystal (Katz, Rosenfeld, Fuchs, & Shubh Singh Post, n.d.).
