Pathophysiology: Suicide is believed to result from four significant factors social, economic, and psychological factors. Lower levels of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is known to be directly related to suicide occurrence. The family and social situations are significant determinants of suicide occurrence. There is also a co-occurrence between mental illnesses and suicide, so individuals suffering from suicidality have numerous mental disorders. Substance, emotional, and physical abuse can also lead to suicide (Gregory, 2016).
Epidemiology: The CDC estimates that more than 100 individuals die from suicide each day. There is a significant increase in suicide rates across the United States, and one person dies from suicide every 12 minutes. It has been established the suicide that is the tenth leading cause of death, with higher rates recorded among Natives and Whites (Gregory, 2016).
Physical Exam Findings: During the clinical, a suicidal individual may exhibit several factors. Patients with pans to kill themselves and individuals who talk about suicide every time.
