What Roles do Each Play in the Quality of U.S. Health Care

Both public and private-based quality initiatives play huge roles in the health policy in the United States of America. Some of the roles of the public-based initiatives include the need to increase the medical care labour and educate the citizens on personal health and the appropriate policies as well. Others include the creation of health policies through the government, restructuring the health systems, and maintaining sustainability to benefit the public (Gable, 2011). As such, it is efficient in matters of transparency, equity, and being proactive. On the other hand, private-based initiatives play roles in promoting good health and reducing risk since it helps to reach out to remote areas. It is also efficient as it provides better medical care than public quality initiatives and it has the funds to purchase expensive equipment for which the public quality initiatives cannot cater. Without the public initiatives, the private sector will infringe on medical standards (Brett, 2009). Thus, both need to collaborate since they help to fill in the gaps of each other.
