Introduction
When it comes to the nursing practice, resilience is being able to recuperate and recover quickly from a challenging situation or difficult situation (Foster, 2016). As a nurse I will be faced with challenging situations when attending to patients and performing various nursing tasks.
Resilience in Nursing
As a nurse, it is important to be able to bounce back with resilience as this will determine the kind of healthcare one will give his or her patient and the outcome of the treatment (Seyedfatemi, et al., 2015). As a nurse I can say in very resilient as I have the ability to stay positive whenever I am attending to a patient in a very serious situation, I can provide the patient family with clear communication even when they seem like they are giving up on the patient. By effectively practicing these qualities, I have been able to see patients coming back from difficult situations. Practicing resilience is also good as it enables the patient to gain courage all through and as a nurse allows me to make a good judgment (Foster, 2016). As a nurse, resilience enables me to be motivated at work, more energized and take responsibilities for my actions. Some of the activities that I do to increase the rate of resilience, is maintaining good positive relationships with my peers and patients.
