Nurses are guided by competencies which make us more professional. Practising nurses face challenges like fear to make wrong decisions and adapting to the hospital environment which if not addressed may affect our future of nursing. However, our professional values, beliefs and attitudes are key in determining the progress of our practice period.
Beliefs and attitudes affect how I think of the profession in regard to why I chose to become a nurse.
