These projects have been ongoing for a few decades, and are ensured that the milestones needed to be reached set based on tedious scientific judgment CITATION Hea18 \l 1033 (HealthyPeople.gov, 2018). Ever since it first started, the whole project is said to focus on three general objectives, namely; (1) foster integration and efficient collaboration between all stakeholders, (2) “empower individuals to make informed health decisions”, and (3) set milestones on preventive measures and continuously analyze and improve based on them CITATION Hea18 \l 1033 (HealthyPeople.gov, 2018). Aside from these, there are other specific objectives, which the government is trying to achieve. Based on the latest reports, there are about 42 areas as well as 1,200 specified objectives that cover almost every aspect of healthcare CITATION Koh14 \l 1033 (Koh, Blakey, & Roper, 2014). Amongst these health concerns outlined is the problem of obesity. The reason why this became an utmost concern for this decade is that it is estimated that about 36.5% (one-third) of all adults in Americans are obese CITATION Cen18 \l 1033 (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2018). What is more surprising was that the results of further studies show that this illness afflicts more non-Hispanic blacks than any other segments of the population, with about 48.1% in frequency. Consequently, this questions the equality and efficiency of the current programs that are being conducted by the government towards every subset of the population. In line with the Healthy People 2020’s goal of reducing the population of all Americans who are obese to about 14.6%, the author of this paper would recommend a hypothetical project that aims at preventing further cases of obesity in Black neighborhoods, which is called Inclusive and Collaborative Anti-obesity Awareness Program (ICAAP). In the succeeding sections of this paper that budget layout for the ICAAP would be detailed. While some might argue that this is a problem in their physiology, several studies would note that this is due to a complex intermix between socio-political, cultural, and economic factors which are at play.
