1 Varying government administrations have the responsibility in public health to provide the decision making concerning the best possible approach in dealing with the policy-making of health care. Specifically, the federal, state, and local governments provide public regulations where the people and institutions are compelled to comply (Pollack Porter, Rutkow, & McGinty, 2018). The federal, state, and local administrative agencies are all allowed to add a policy that will fit the need for health care as long as the policy doesn't conflict with each other.
Although the Federal, State, and local governments play similar roles for public health, each government administration had varying levels of authority to implement their powers (Shi & Johnson, 2014). The local government can create policies that are specific to the local government unit while the higher levels, such as the state and federal government, can set the standards that limit a particular policy that a local administration can make (Pollack Porter, Rutkow, & McGinty, 2018). The power of the state is expressed through the legislations that the members of congress can pass into law. The state has the power to delegate a specific provision that can be followed by local government bodies with the approval of the executive and judiciary (Shi & Johnson, 2014). The local government is then tasked in making sure that the provisions granted by the state are followed and add complimentary orders for successful implementation. The federal government is responsible for the regulation of taxes, government spending, and monitor state commerce (Shi & Johnson, 2014).
The similarities allow the government administrations to create healthcare policies at a different magnitude of the US while the comparison shows that the power of the state affects a large part of the public health system because of their ability to delegate powers to the local government, ask for the annual budget, and the proper allocation of resources that is the lifeblood of any government policy (Shi & Johnson, 2014).
2 The people's right to health is one of the provisions written in universal human rights. Therefore, the government has to make sure that people can enjoy at least the minimum standard for health care. However, the government cannot easily take care of the important provisions needed in implementing the right policies and regulations. Additionally, the government cannot focus all their attention on health care because they also handle different problems in the economy. Most of the time, government officials have no background in dealing with health, thus, the government needs private sectors for the direct management, counseling, the supply of health-related goods, and health care ...
