Even as there are more health care demands more than ever before, nurses ought to incorporate theoretical approaches to practice problems. Nurses provide compassionate care, but there also encounter a myriad of problems. Theoretical development is the basis for nursing knowledge, and nurses use the theories in nursing practice depending on the nursing goals
Wound infection and care is one of the problems in the O.R that affects patient outcomes and the quality of care. Nursing theories that are applicable in clinical environments are most useful since they can be evaluated in real life clinical situations (Ahtisham & Jacoline, 2015). Even though, nurses ought to rely on evidence-based practice when caring for patients with wounds, they collaborate with the physicians while they require considering the protocols and guidelines in the workplace. Nursing interventions not only help to maintain client integrity, but also integrity. One of the main nursing goals in wound management is to end dependence, and the nursing theories focus on specific variables in clinical research to address clinical problems.
