Group Therapy Session
Group therapy is essential as it helps in improving the morale of patients or people. The session has to be well organized by the therapist for the efficient delivery of the counseling services to the group members. Before group activities are launched, there should be a pre-group meeting to make sure each of the members is willing to become an asset to the group, not a setback. When the group is ready, there are various stages that have different implementation of various activities. At the working stage, it is when the group has generally settled and is willing to dig deeper into the group's real agenda (Helmes & Ward, 2017). The group has discussed all the kinks in the transition stage and have now fresh minds to reflect on individual experiences. At this stage, the group can be said to be mature, and their thoughts and emotions can be triggered by other person's words in the group. The therapist, at this stage, uses various techniques to offer possible solutions for members to express their emotions and feelings freely.
