Lifting has become essential for most athletes for an extended period. Lifting has two categories which are power clean and power snatch. Power snatch entails lifting a bar from the ground to overhead with much weight as possible. On the other hand, power clean involves the weight lifter taking the bar from the floor to a front rack position as per Olympic Weight Lifting. This paper aims to understand more about power clean and power snatch techniques and deviations.
Olympic Weight Lifting has tremendous impacts on athletes, whereby it contributes to their power and strength. If two different athletes engage in the two liftings, each lifting has a different outcome regarding the other (Faigenbaum & Polakowski1999). The technique that applies to either of the lifting done is very different from the other.
