Why is it important that health professionals share a common understanding of patient safety standards and practices?
The safety of a patient is one of the key considerations that health professionals should make at all levels of their operations. Hence, it is important to understand the common goals to avoid the errors that would result from an action of taking safety precaution measures that are different from those of another doctor. Such errors are known to cost a lot even up to the life of the patient. The common principles ensures uniformity in the workplace hence enhancing the understanding of the different safety measures (Kaur, Carino, & Levinson, 2016).
