The following are some pathophysiological changes and abnormal findings associated with musculoskeletal, metabolic, and multisystem health dysfunctions. First, there is the injury of the tissues and reorganization of the central nervous system (Zare et al., 2018). This pathophysiological change is often brought about by carrying out repetitive or forceful tasks (Zare et al., 2018). Secondly, an individual may experience repeated microtrauma. This finding is mainly found in persons who had prior experience of injured tissue. The prior experience may hinder the normal healing process. Another abnormal finding in these conditions is the injury and reorganization of tissues that occurs in multiple parts of the body (Zare et al., 2018). The parts of the body that are mostly affected are the muscles, loose connective tissue, bones, and peripheral nerve.
There are varied symptoms associated with the findings made above, and they influence patient function. One of the most common symptoms associated with the above findings is aching and stiffness (Blyth et al., 2019).
