Obesity is a condition characterized by excessive fat in the human body. The disorder could arise from either behavior, genetic, or environmental factors that human beings might not manage to control in their diets (Karnik & Kanekar, 2012). When a person’s body mass index (BMI) exceeds 30, then they fit the description of being obese. The most researched causes of obesity include the lifestyle behavior, the environment, as well as the genetics. Americans have embraced unhealthy behaviors probably due to the fast-paced environment that characterizes the modern world. In this regard, their choice of food is unhealthy. Moreover, they do not get enough time for physical exercises neither do they apply much effort in maintaining their body health.
