Becoming self-aware is an ongoing process requiring introspection. The more often people practice self-reflection, the more opportunities they have to understand their own behaviors and adapt their approaches to working with other people, which can improve both your own and other's abilities to meet their professional goals.
In a 750-1,000 word reflective essay, address the following:

Identify the leadership style that closely aligns to your philosophy of care, and explain what appeals to you about that style.

Emotional Intelligence Assessment
I chose the emotional intelligence assessment since I wanted to understand whether I consider how my actions and behaviors affect others emotionally. After answering 146 questions, I had a score of 75. Based on the description of the results, a person with a score of 75 can identify, express, and perceive emotions in himself or herself and others. For example, I understand how others might feel when I do negative things, which helps me refrain from actions that might hurt them. Overall, I have room for improvement in becoming more emotionally intelligent.

Personality Assessment
I took the above test to know my personality to change things that hinder me from relating to others well. My personality type is ESFJ-A, which means that I am more extroverted (88%), observant (58%), feeling (63%), judging (94%), and assertive (82%). Although being extraverted is a good thing since I can socialize with others without conflicts, I need not be more judging since it can hinder me from realizing others' real character or personalities.

My philosophy of care in nursing is "active participation and interaction with physicians and patients to provide high-quality and individualized healthcare services based on the patient needs." My philosophy aligns with the transformational leadership style. The primary thing that appeals to me in transformational leadership is that people are motivated to handle their duties or roles and perform beyond an organization's expectations. For example, in this type of leadership, individuals do not have to be assigned tasks, but instead, they lead themselves in doing what is appropriate for a healthcare firm (Backman et al., 2020). In that light, a nurse is required to do what is best for his or her patient's wellbeing, even if it entails talking to family members to understand the cause of a specific health issue.
