The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is an autonomous accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public's health. As our accreditor, CCNE has provided ongoing guidance to CCNE accredited universities for content of quality nursing practice. As a result, our accreditation is guided by the The Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing (2011).
MSN Essentials Written Prompt (REQUIRED WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT FOR ALL MSN COURSES)
Examining the course objectives, reading and assignments, please provide written evidence of how you have developed, created, applied and/or evaluated course content through your submitted assignments.
You will then address how the identified MSN Essential Standards applies to the final outcomes of your learning. Provide goals for future learning experiences during your progression through the MSN Program
Please provide at least one example (per standard) of how you will transfer this learning to your professional practice.
The submission should be APA formatted with reference list and approximately two pages in length (a minimum of one page for each standard) to be submitted in this area.
This submission is due on or before Sunday of week seven. Failure to do so will result in a delay in your grade posting as this document is mandatory and necessary for course completion. REFLECTION
This course has played a significant in my understanding of various nursing practices. Masters education is very important because it assists nurses to address all the gaps resulting from the growing healthcare needs. Through this course, I have been able to translate clinical evidence into practice. I have also gained knowledge in designing innovative nursing practices. Additionally, I can be able to build and lead professional care teams. This is a course that has prepared me with comprehensive knowledge, practice, and expertise in nursing. I have been able to learn new and innovative roles that can contribute to changes and reforms in the revolving healthcare system. During our discussions, I was able to focus on various areas of clinical practice. Some of these areas include public health, health program management, and informatics.
The curriculum has also assisted me to learn some of the important content that should be provided directly to patients at an advanced level. Additionally, I can also be able to reflect on some of the changes that have taken place in the healthcare system. I can also be able to identify some of the population health needs. Today, nursing education is changing in every means possible. Nursing education is evolving to meet the needs of the people and prepare nurses to take leadership positions and responsibilities (Inter-parliamentary Union & World Health Organization, 2016). This course has also enabled me to apply ethical investigation and clinical reasoning to determine, evaluate and examine advanced nursing care delivery.
