Medical Businesses By Institution                 Medical Businesses Hospitals Most people think of hospitals in terms of patient care, dedication to altruistic aims and compassion yet they are businesses like any other concerned with revenues, tax obligations, and profit sharing. The flow of money affects the delivery of patient care and the general health of the hospital itself. Behind the scenes are hospital administrators that work quietly to ensure the hospital’s welfare and financial security. The inflow of revenue ascertains the hospitals wellbeing with the major source being insurance billings for patient care services. Other hospitals particularly university and educational foundation facilities, receive state, private and private grant funding. Concerning revenue, medical sales representatives make an average total income of $156,783. When it comes to tax in this type of medical business, there are lots of variations. For example, companies supplying cancer treatment therapy equipment are exempted from sales and use tax and so are those dealing with hemodialysis devices, wheelchairs, crutches and the canes used by the legally blind. However, there are those medical device taxes that are being levied on the revenues of small companies...
