Congestive heart failure is a collective term used to stand for a combination of numerous types of heart disorders that bring about a malfunction in the formation or working of the heart tissues. It is a progressive and plaguing condition that causes fatigue of the tissues in the body. For the case of the heart, it results in the inability of the heart to sufficiently supply the body organs with blood. Mr.P is a patient under such a predicament, and appropriate healthcare needs to be done in handling him.
The most suitable form of healthcare approach in this situation is to employ a multifaceted method of diagnosis. This means the combination of both pharmacological as well as non-pharmacological methods. From the understanding of cardiomyopathy, this patient's cardiac muscle is considerably weakened. Emphasis needs to be placed therefore upon making the heart stronger. This is supposed to be the first line of action. From the patient’s symptoms, it is evident that the condition is severe, which would call for the use of every form of intervention(Dumitru,2016).The most appropriate forms of intervention methods include the admission of beta blockers and to a much larger extent, ACE inhibitors. In essence, proven forms of medication would be required as the first form of treatment since it’s evident that the congestive heart failure has been caused by cardiomyopathy.
This would be significant as a form of stabilizing the individual before the introduction of any other intervention strategy or therapeutic procedures. Once this is done, the next way of approach to care would be to introduce nutritional therapy. This would involve adding Mr.P to a strict dietary program and making sure that he sticks to it. Additionally, Mr. P’s medical situation would be reviewed and then, based on the condition, he will be placed on a regime of physical exercise (Silva, 2006)...
