Introduction
Nursing has a significant influence on the quality of healthcare, and therefore, their productivity is reflected in the outcome. The magnet professional practice model focuses more on establishing a conducive environment for nurses. For this research, I chose the article, ‘Magnetic work environments’ by Deirdre, Gwen E, Cheryl, Jessica H, and Kristine R. The article aims at establishing the differences in working environments between Magnet and no-magnet hospitals.
Magnet models tackle the issues of quality of healthcare from a different perspective compared to non-Magnet hospitals. Their principle involves hospital structures that exhibit high standards of staff, organization, and patient outcomes. This approach gives more priority to the leadership of nurses in accomplishing a conducive environment (Deirdre, Gwen E, Cheryl, Jessica H & Kristine R, 2020).
