Introduction
Welcome. The focus for this week will be on Management of Renal and Urologic System Disorders.In this module you will define key terms, review basic anatomy and physiology; classify problems according to the pathophysiology; examine risk and predisposing factors, common disorders, clinical manifestations, common complications, laboratory and diagnostic tests, common medications, basic nursing care and management. You will also analyze and discuss relevant case studies.

You are assigned to Mr. M. a 79-year-old man who was admitted today to your unit for a urinary tract infection and urosepsis.

Assessment
Mr. M has been agitated and restless throughout the night. The patient's temperature has been continually rising from 38 at 0600 to 39.1 at noon. However, I did not administer any Tylenol. Also, his blood pressure dropped from 146/88 to 120/76. His pulse continuously rose from 98 at 0730 to 130 at noon. Mr. M seems to be sleepy and lethargic.
