One method of assessing healthcare organizations’ operational needs is quality. Quality assesses the healthcare organization’s ability to provide services consistent with the quality standards of the patients (Gomes et al., 2010). A healthcare operational needs would be satisfied if high levels of patient satisfaction can be recorded. For instance, timeliness of care can be assessed to determine the quality of care provided. If the healthcare organization is not overcrowded but still sees a substantial number of patients each day, it would mean that quality services are provided. The way the healthcare organization promotes patient satisfaction determines the quality of care provided.
