5a. In your opinion, what are the motivations to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of healthcare?
The need for healthcare professionals to rely on healthcare has increased. The presence of new computing power has made it possible for healthcare professionals to analyze large data. AI facilitates the analysis of such data as well as the identification of trends from the data to make predictions. The need to identify potential health outcomes has facilitated the use of AI in healthcare. Additionally, the demand for healthcare professionals is high. The increase in population and the decreasing number of healthcare professionals leave a wide gap in the health sector. With the huge demand for healthcare workers, there is a need to find an alternative. As a result, AI will assist in filling some of the gaps created as a result of the inadequate number of healthcare professionals. AI will boost the work of available healthcare practitioners. Lastly, AI can offer medical professionals with up-to-date information from the relevant sources (Jiang et al., 2017). This enables professionals to care for patients better.

* Demographics. AI is used to analyze the demographic details of patients like sex, age, race, and other characteristics. Healthcare professionals need to analyze the demographic details of their patients. AI makes the process more efficient which provides healthcare practitioners with the results they need.
* Medical notes. The notes document the history of patients including diagnosis, treatment, and care. AI analyzes medical notes and creates the necessary charts to facilitate the work of healthcare professionals.
* Image. Medical image analysis is critical, especially in diagnosis. AI analyzes complex information generated from images.
