The healthcare system has evolved towards the provision of quality services as opposed to quantity. In my podiatric clinical experience, I have learned that value-based care is key for any health facility when trying to achieve efficiency. The Electronic Medical Record system comes in handy when trying to achieve efficiency in attending patients and routine work for health workers.
The EMR connects patients to the healthcare team. From admitting a patient, recording their health status, and continuously updating their progress enables practitioners to provide value-based health care (Habboush, Hoyt & Beidas, 2018). Through the EMR, you can check a patient’s report and provide measurements for appropriate medication.
There is an improved patient outcome by using the EMR. The software comes with links to medical articles, images, and videos for patients.
