The health promotion program helps document and access health-related risks among individuals in a community or a work environment. It allows people to know their health status and improve their health. Health promotion undertakings gears towards enabling the community to improve its wellbeing, rather than directing resources on people with a specific disease type. Dawn and Sanjay's wellness care at the community corporation is an example of a health promotion program.
Dawn and Sanjay's health promotion program mainly focuses on the screening of employees with blood pressure. According to Muntner et al. (2018), hypertension is a health issue where blood flow on the artery walls can cause health damage. Blood pressure is mainly caused by age, genetics, obesity, using tobacco, and many others.
