Legal basis
It is a requirement in California for schools to organize and carryout screening programs on vision, hearing and even scoliosis. These have to be conducted at different and specific grade levels and intervals. Schools are mandated to conduct screening when the children join the school and one every three years. This means, where screening is conducted at kindergarten, first and second grade, the next is one is at fifth and eighth grade.
Minimum requirements
All the children will have to be enrolled at the school, such that no children from other schools will be checked on the program (Patient, 2016). Children will have to be aged three and above; this means that the children will have to be of school going age when enrolling.
Screening authority
