Food Diary involves the process of keeping one’s record of daily eating style. It shows the food eaten daily and the healthy activities thereof, and that accompanies an individual’s daily lifestyle activities. The necessity of keeping a food dairy is to enable an individual to live healthily with less disease or healthy complication. Some of these complications include overweight or underweight, improper or unbalanced body mass index and so on. It is an aspect that is always looked down upon.
Many people do not realize the importance of keeping the food diary. At times, when the diary is drafted and followed, it does not follow guidance from a medical doctor. Consequently, some valuable nutrients will be missing in the diary. The body will, therefore, starve from these nutrients (Andrew, Borriello & Fogarty, 2013). In this study, my personal food diary will be taken for analysis. The balance of nutrients, adjustments, and its applicability will be of great concern. Further proposals will be made for the accurate and ideal food diary.
On Sunday, my food diet had the following meals for the entire day. First in the morning breakfast, 7.00am, the diary read porridge, potatoes, silvered almonds apple and water. Their respective quantities were 1 cup, two medium, 2 Tbsp., one medium and 8 ounces. During 10.00am snack break, the diary read two medium bananas and 12 ounces of water. At lunch hour, 12:40 pm, 3 cups tossed cabbage salad, 1 cup cooked beans, 1 cup cooked brown rice, 1 cup vegetable soup and 24 ounces of water.
