As an office manager at ABC Family Practice, it is my responsibility to teach new employees how to perform their duties in a better way. Some days ago, I hired a new receptionist as the former receptionist was not giving a good performance. It is now time for me to describe how the charting system for the practice works. First of all, I would like to explain the difference between EHR and MPI. An HER (an electronic medical record) is a systematized collection of population or patient data electronically. This information is then saved in a digital form and is shared across different healthcare settings whenever needed. 
EHRs are likely to include data related to medical history, medications, allergies, demographics, laboratory test results, signs and symptoms, and radiology images, as well as personal details like the weight, age, gender and billing information (Finset, 2018).
