Wilson, J. L. (2001). Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st-century stress syndrome. Petaluma: Smart Publications.
According to the author of this journal, the latest scientific insights remain effective in describing the causes of adrenal dysfunction. The author alleges that as an experienced practitioner in this field, the impacts of adrenal fatigues are rampant among patients. The journal clearly established the need to maintain lifestyle changes as an approach aimed at restoring adrenal functions. On the other hand, the study demonstrates the contributions that patients need to undertake with the primary objective of making their lifestyle changes. It is in this regard that the study posits that adrenal fatigue entails instances when adrenals fail as a result of over stimulation, thus leading to the production of low levels of cortisol even after ACTH stimulation. The author of the journal structures his views in an organized manner by explaining the primary causes of adrenal fatigues.
The causes of this disease as established in the journal are divided into four stages. The first part has to do with the overview of the issue at hand. The author clearly provides details of the causative factors that lead to adrenal failures. The second part helps the readers identify the symptoms of adrenal fatigues, while the third part clearly establishes effective approaches of managing and treating adrenal fatigues. These approaches therefore cover all the aspects involved in the management of this disease that include stress management, diet handling, and changes in the lifestyle. Lastly, the journal typically sheds light on understanding the functions of the adrenal glands. However, despite extensively covering the causes and the management of adrenal fatigues, the author of this journal fails to recognize the contributions of animal products in flaming the disease. Moreover, the author of the journal fails to address issues relating to saturated fats and their impact on this disease.
