Values are fundamental personal beliefs that guide ones’ actions. They describe unique qualities and manners on how people treat others and are the main motives behind an attitude. Notably, ethics is the basis for evaluating the values as well as the actions underlying them. Values are usually different from person to person. They are important because they influence one’s perception and interpretation about right or wrong. They allow people to interact harmoniously, motivating them to reach their goals. Further, values help people differentiate certain behaviors based on outcomes that are preferred over others. They build a strong personality that allows people to stand with what they believe is right, even if they face condemnation.
In my society, different values are followed. Believing in God as the sole provider is one of the most essential factors. Every place of worship is revered and people exhibit outstanding levels of respect whenever they pass through such places. Family is also a fundamental unit within the community, and people are encouraged to marry while they are young. A healthy life and work balance are maintained throughout the community.
