Disseminating evidence is an important step in the research proposal because it dictates how evidence from a study will be put to use. This owes to the reality that effective strategies for disseminating evidence enables stakeholders to access, use, and understand the outcome of a study appropriately (McNally, Wright, Scherb, and Gaspar, 2010). Therefore, researchers must identify effective strategies for disseminating their evidence to the stakeholders. As a result, posters, blogs, journal publications, and professional organizations are the main tools used to disseminate evidence on the effect of alcohol and tobacco use among patients with high blood pressure.
The term stakeholders could be elucidated as organizations or people who have invested in the study, will use the results of the study, or are interested in the results of the study (Hinshaw and Grady, 2011). It follows that researchers have a duty of making their study results accessible to their stakeholders. Several techniques help researchers achieve such an objective.
