Recently, the United States Justice Department and the Government of China took the initiative and filed the lawsuits against all of the tobacco companies operating in different parts of the world. It is believed that millions of dollars are spent on ill smokers, aging from 15 to 55; they cover nearly 40 percent of the United States (Guo, 2018, p. 205). I feel that the tobacco industry must be sued since cigarettes are bad for human health. The money spent on tobacco cultivation can be saved and spent on social welfare programs, and the number of ill smokers can be decreased if measures are taken against the tobacco companies as soon as possible (Guo, 2018).
A study conducted by Donald Gifford reveals that the tobacco industry is under extreme legal pressure and measures are being taken to shut down the tobacco companies and to benefit human beings in the long run. The lobby groups can play their significant role in this regard. The...
