Stable angina is a typical chest pain or discomfort caused by inadequate to the arteries supplying blood to the heart which leads to reduced oxygen supply to these heart muscles. These occur during stress or strenuous physical activities leading to such conditions. It is instigated by the constriction and the rigidity of the arterial walls (atherosclerosis) making dilation of these vessels difficult with regard to the myocardial demand (Huether, 2012). The lessening of the pain can be achieved by rest which reinstates blood flow to the arteries and does away with necrosis of the cells. Stable angina has a predictable pattern meaning you could track the occurrence pattern based on what you feel, when you feel and be able to note the causative factors.
