Today’s generation seems to have a more complex perspective of the world, but much clearer than before. Having these in mind, people do seem to slowly accept and readapt to these great changes that improve their perception of society today. These changes also affect the definition of a family of today and the structures following it. Thus, explanations of these will be provided afterward.
Sharma (2013) defined family as a unit of kinship within society but has varied definitions as it differs from every country. He also explained that because of the changes that occur, generation to generation, his proposed definition of family was individuals interconnected by marriage, blood, legal adoption, and more that shares the same kitchen regularly.
